How to write your Valentine's Day card
First and foremost your Valentines letter must be personal and original, so it is no good copying text from the Internet to win over your lover!
However, the following things may help start you thinking in the right direction:-
- From the depth of my heart... (how you feel towards your sweetheart)
- Love is invisible but... (how would you best describe what your love would look like if it was visible)
- What does your love feel like? (e.g. soft, fine sand running through your fingers on a fine day)
Think of something that is beautiful and compare it to your beloved, e.g. "my world would loose all meaning without you", "You are sweeter than chocolate cake"
Words that you should think about are love, laugh, trust, completeness, thoughtful, sensitive, protect, beautiful, honest, special, precious...
Personalise your love message by reaching out to your beloved's senses. For example:-
- You can spray perfume or aftershave onto your card or letter
- You can fill your envelope with petals
- Choose colourful stationary for your valentines message
- Put a short tape in the envelope of your special song
- Put a pouch in the envelope with something for your Valentine to feel but not see
End your Valentines message with "I love you", since there is nothing that compares to this concise and meaningful expression.
Good luck with your Valentine's Day card!
